BACKGROUND:
The City Manager awarded Contract 19-033 to Advanced Data Technologies (ADT) on March 1, 2019 for a one-year term with four, one-year options to extend. The purpose of this contract is to have a certified Systimax installer install and/or repair data and telephone cabling on an as-needed basis.
Projects in 2019 included network drops for the remodel of the Water Service Center front desk, additional network drops for the Smart Grid network in Suite 100 of the Electric Service Center, data drops for the Smart Grid network in Suite 100 of the Electric Service Center, data drops for the Municipal Center and the network connections for the Police Department video wall.
Projects in 2020 included call center migration (which was a large component), new monitor cabling for Department of Public Works, new data networking locations at Municipal Center, at Water Service Center, at Fire Station 3, and at various other locations.
DISCUSSION:
During the original term of the contract, ADT has delivered excellent service in a timely manner whether it is a planned project or a needed repair. In 2021 anticipated projects will include communications network at Water Service Center, Springbrook, and various other unanticipated network drops.
Based upon the vendor's performance, Information Technology would like to extend the contract for the second option year. ADT has agreed to maintain the rates and terms provided for under the contract.
The term of the second option year is March 2, 2021 to March 1, 2022, with two, one- year options remaining on the agreement.
