BACKGROUND:
The Electric Utility (Utility) requires the services of an electrical contractor that can provide labor and equipment necessary for work that cannot be completed by the Utility due to time and staffing limitations. The assistance from Meade Inc., allows the Utility to meet customer and Capital Improvement Program (CIP) deadlines as well as respond to emergent work. To date Meade Inc. has completed work for the Utility, the Department of Public Works (DPW) and the Water Utility (WU). The City Council awarded Contract 18-258 to Meade Inc. on December 18, 2018, for a two-year term from January 1,2019 to December 31,2020 with three extensions.
