BACKGROUND:
The City has critical structural transportation infrastructure including, but not limited to, bridges and retaining walls. The City does not have sufficient staff or technical personnel to conduct certain inspections, preliminary and design engineering services for structural projects; therefore, assistance is needed from qualified engineering firms.

On April 16,2019, the City Council awarded Contract 19-023 for structural engineering services to the four most qualified consulting firms for a two-year term from May 8, 2019 to May 7, 2021, with three, one-year options to extend. On May 27, 2021, Option Year One was approved.

The awarded consultants include:

* Ciorba Group, Inc.
* Engineering Resources Associates
* Civiltech Engineering, Inc.
* TranSystems Corporation

DISCUSSION:
Based upon the vendors' performance, the TED Business Group would like to extend the contracts for the second option year. The four shortlisted consulting firms have agreed to maintain the rates and terms provided in each of their Master Services Agreement.

The term of this second option year is May 8, 2022 to May 7, 2023, with one, one-year option remaining on the agreement.

FISCAL IMPACT:
This award is for the designation of shortlisted firms that will provide engineering services for capital improvement projects (CIP) to construct, maintain, and/or improve bridges, retaining walls and other such structures.
