Due to proximity of this interceptor to the river, erosion of the shoreline exposed the pipe and threatens the sewer's integrity.
In 2016, City Council began a process of addressing erosion issues to protect the interceptor sewer, awarding Contract 17-129 to Strand Associates for the engineering design phase of the South Central Sewer Hardening and Protection Project. The value of the original contract is $233,320.
