BACKGROUND:

The City Council awarded Contract 22-115 to Galls LLC on September 20, 2022 for a one-year term from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023.  The purpose of this contract is to provide uniforms and equipment outlined in the departmental general orders and respective collective bargaining agreements to both sworn and specialized civilian personnel. 

 

DISCUSSION:

This Change Order is requested to add funds to the uniform contract for 24 ballistic vests received in December to avoid delays replacing expired vests and also for the dress uniforms that were recently added to the collective bargaining agreement.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

CIP#: N/A

 

Purchase of uniforms and equipment for the Police Department are expensed to the Operating Supplies account listed below. In 2023 the Police Department budgeted $230,110 for uniforms including ballistic vest and helmets. This change order can be accommodated within the 2023 budget.
