BACKGROUND:
On February 21, 2022 Firefighter/paramedic injured his shoulder during a training exercise at work. Fredona received medical treatment for his injury and was released to full duty work without restrictions on November 7, 2022.
DISCUSSION:
The City and Fredona have agreed to a $70,283.25 settlement to resolve his workers’ compensation claim.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The City will make a one-time payment of $70,283.25 as set forth in the settlement contract.
