BACKGROUND:

Electric Department Lineman Rodney Burkes was injured at work on June 18, 2021 and July 22, 2021.  Burkes has been treated for his injuries and will be retiring from the City. 

DISCUSSION:

The City and Burkes have agreed to resolved both of his workers’ compensation claims for a one-time payment of $214,989. 

FISCAL IMPACT:

The City will make a one-time payment of $214,989.
