BACKGROUND:
Councilwoman Patty Gustin was elected to serve on the DuPage County Board on November 8, 2022. Councilwoman Gustin submitted her letter of resignation to the Naperville City Attorney on December 2, 2022 conditioned, and effective, upon her inauguration to the County Board on December 5, 2022.
DISCUSSION:
The resignation of Councilwoman Gustin has created a vacancy on the City Council. The City Council has selected Nicki Anderson to serve for the balance of the unexpired term, through April 30, 2023.
The attached resolution appoints Nicki Anderson to the City Council and will be effective immediately upon passage.
