DEPARTMENT:                     Transportation, Engineering and Development

SUBMITTED BY:                     Michael Prousa, TED Project Manager

BACKGROUND:

In early 2022, City Council approved the Overnight Parking Program, the details about this program can be found in attachment 1. When subdivisions get approved for the Overnight Parking Program, parking modifications may have to be made on streets that are allowing the exemptions.

DISCUSSION:

Vintage Club (located south of Ogden Avenue, east of Shandrew Drive, north of Blakely Lane, and west of the Ivy Ridge subdivision) approached City staff about being included in the program. City staff (Fire, PD, Public Works, TED) reviewed their request and approved their need for overnight parking. A map of the location can be found as attachment 2.

Staff is recommending for Alternative 2 for overnight parking on Shandrew Drive and Blakely Lane as mentioned in Agenda Item 22-1273B. Maps of the three alternatives can be found as attachments 3, 4, and 5. The maps are representations of the proposed restrictions.

The draft ordinances describing the No Parking zone alternatives can be found as attachments 6, 7 and 8.
