BACKGROUND:

At the December 7, 2021, meeting, City Council approved the award of Bid 21-233, Springbrook Water Reclamation Center Influent Flow Meter Replacement, to Dahme Mechanical Industries for an amount not to exceed $158,888.88 and a 5% contingency. The work includes the replacement of three existing influent flow meters at the Springbrook Water Reclamation Center. The original contract completion date is June 1, 2022.

DISCUSSION:

Persistent global supply chains issues have resulted in delays in obtaining the flow meters. A change order is requested to extend the contract completion date by 184 days to allow the contractor to complete the work as specified. If approved, the revised contract completion date will be December 1, 2022.

Staff will work with the vendor to expedite the completion of the project once the equipment is received.

FISCAL IMPACT:

CIP: WW041

The requested change order adds 184 days to the contract but does not change the cost of the project. There is no direct fiscal impact resulting from this change.
