BACKGROUND:
Pursuant to 5/8-2-9.9 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes the tentative annual budget must be made available to the public at least ten days prior to its adoption and notice of that public hearing must be published at least seven days before the hearing date.
DISCUSSION:
The tentative annual budget has been made available for public inspection on the City’s website, at the City Clerk’s Office and each branch of the Naperville Public Library since October 15, 2021.
At December 7, 2021 meeting, a public hearing on the proposed 2022 Annual Budget will be held, followed by the consideration of an ordinance approving the budget. A Notice of Public Hearing for the proposed 2022 Annual Budget must be published in the newspaper at least seven days prior to holding the hearing.
The Notice of Public Hearing will be published in the Naperville Sun on or about November 28, 2021.
