BOARD/COMMISSION REVIEW:
On October 7, 2021, the Liquor Commission unanimously approved the proposed amendments.

BACKGROUND:
The Class P - Manufacturer license allows for local craft beer, cider, wine, and distilled spirit manufacturers to include a retail component onsite where the manufacturers' may offer their craft beer and cider for retail sale, both for consumption on premises and off premises (package sales). At present, there are three Class P licensees:
1. Solemn Oath Brewery,
2. 2 Fools Cider, and
3. Noon Whistle Brewing

Solemn Oath and 2 Fools Cider are both located on Quincy Ave. Noon Whistle Brewing is located at 1748 W. Jefferson. Because of the cap, there are no Class P licenses available.

DISCUSSION:
On October 7, 2021, Go Brewing petitioned the Liquor Commission to increase the cap on the Class P liquor license from 3 to 4. Go Brewing is a brewery that will brew both low-alcohol and non-alcoholic craft beer. Non-alcoholic beer contains an alcohol content between 0 and 1.0% and is brewed by either removing alcohol following completion of brewing and brewing it with minimal alcohol from the beginning. The brewery would include a tasting room, live music and experiential events, e.g. yoga. It intends to distribute its craft beer to local restaurants, grocery stores, and directly to consumers.

Go Brewing will move into the space on Quincy Ave currently housing 2 Fools Cider. 2 Fools Cider is relocating to 1864 High Grove Lane, Unit 100.
