BACKGROUND:
On December 15, 2020, City Council adopted a Human Rights and Fair Housing ordinance establishing the new Human Rights and Fair Housing Commission, defining the commission’s role, powers and responsibilities. The ordinance also described processes and procedures for complaints, including hearing procedures and remedies.
DISCUSSION:
Geneace Williams, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager and staff co-liaison to the Human Rights and Fair Housing Commission, will give a presentation that provides training for the commissioners, specifically relating to the complaint and hearing processes for complaints alleging discrimination in the City of Naperville.
