BACKGROUND:
The City of Naperville is commencing with the development of a new strategic plan. The City Council strongly desires to engage and obtain input from a wide range of residents and stakeholders, making public awareness and promotion vital.
DISCUSSION:
Having noticed the decals placed on the Naperville Riverwalk last year promoting the wearing of masks to defer the spread of the Covid 19 virus spurred the idea of placing similar decals on the Riverwalk inviting individuals to engage on the plan. Attached is an example of the decals being proposed.
The decals will only be in place while the City is trying to engage the public, so from mid-May until June 30, 2021. The City will only install the decals at locations supported by the Riverwalk Commission, so direction on location and number of decals is needed at the meeting.
Both Naper Settlement and the Naperville Library have agreed to place these decals on their campuses as well.
