Staff will update the Commission on the following items:
Housing Needs Assessment/Affordable Housing Plan Action Items
At its September 29, 2020 workshop, the City Council discussed the eight priority Action Items from the Housing Needs Assessment/Affordable Housing Plan. Based on the discussion, staff prioritized four of the eight items and developed an associated work plan. Council review of the work plan was scheduled for December 1, 2020, but due to the length of the meeting, the agenda item was tabled to January 5, 2021.
Human Rights ordinance
Consideration of the proposed Human Rights ordinance is scheduled for the December 15, 2020 City Council meeting. This ordinance, if passed, will also establish the new Human Rights and Fair Housing Commission.
