BACKGROUND:
In 2017, the City of Naperville completed a Request for Qualifications (RFQ 17-133) to shortlist engineering firms to perform land surveying services on an as needed basis for a variety of City projects. Six consultants were short-listed as a result of this process and each firm executed its own Master Service Agreement with the City. The awarded consultants include:

Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd.
Engineering Resource Associates
Farnsworth Group
Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc.
Ridgeline Consultants
Robinson Engineering

When surveying work is required for a project, the department requests quotes from all six vendors and issues an amendment to the MSA with the vendor that submits the lowest cost for the project.

DISCUSSION:
During the original term of the agreement, the TED Business Group, Water Utilities and Electric Utility used the shortlisted consultants to assist with 27 survey related tasks for projects throughout the City including Cress Creek subdivision, various substation locations and the Bailey/Naper subdivision.

Based upon the vendors' performance, the departments would like to extend the contract for the first option year. The six shortlisted consultants have agreed to maintain the rates and terms provided for under each Master Agreement.

The RFQ provided for three one-year options to extend. The term of the first option year is January 23, 2020 to January 22, 2021, with two, one-year options remaining.
