BACKGROUND:
There are a number of city staff members that help support the goals of the Advisory Commission on Disabilities. Representatives from Legal, Community Relations, Public Works, Transportation/Engineering/Development, Police and Special Events/City Clerk form an ADA Compliance Team that meets quarterly. This team discusses issues associated with keeping the city compliant with state and Federal accessibility regulations.
DISCUSSION:
A staff report is to be presented to the Advisory Commission on Disabilities to highlight various topics brought forth by the ADA Compliance Team and other city staff that may impact accessibility for Naperville facilities, programs and operations.
