BACKGROUND:
The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires the City to submit a Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) at the end of each CDBG program year to report the use of funds. The City is required to conduct a public hearing on the report prior to submitting it to HUD.
DISCUSSION:
The 2018 CDBG Program Year took place from April 1, 2018 - March 31, 2019. The City is required to submit the Program Year 2018 CAPER no later than 90 days after the end of the program year. A 15-day public comment period and public hearing are required in advance of formal submission of the CAPER to HUD. The Program Year 2018 CAPER was made available to the public for review and comment beginning on June 4, 2019. Comments will be accepted through June 18, 2019 with a public hearing to be held at the June 18, 2019 City Council meeting. To date, no comments have been received.
