BACKGROUND:
On May 17, 2017 and July 4, 2017, Firefighter / Paramedic Daniel Simpson injured his left ankle and left shoulder in work related incidents. Simpson has subsequently returned to work without restrictions
DISCUSSION:
The City and Simpson have agreed to a $73,257.02 settlement to resolve his workers’ compensation claim, contingent upon City Council approval.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The City make a payment of $73,257.02 as set forth in the settlement contract.
