BACKGROUND:

The Naperville Police Department’s Saved by the Belt Certificate is issued to citizens who make the important life saving choice of buckling up. The City of Naperville is determined to promote the increase use of seatbelts because the practice of buckling up is a crucial safety measure that protects both drivers and passengers.

 

DISCUSSION:

Chief of Police, Robert W. Marshall, will present a Saved by the Belt Certificate to Ms. Patricia Schultz who was properly restrained in a serious traffic accident on March 22, 2019. She is a living testimony to the importance of wearing a properly adjusted seatbelt.
