BACKGROUND:
Resolution 10-019 was adopted on April 30, 2010, authorizing the appointment of Mark Curran, Director of Public Utilities-Electric as the City’s representative to the Board of Directors of the Illinois Municipal Electric Agency (IMEA). With Mr. Curran’s retirement on April 05, 2019, the appointment of a replacement representative on the Board of Directors of the IMEA is needed until a new Electric Utility Director is named.
DISCUSSION:
Lucille Podlesny, Deputy Director of the Electric Utility, has attended for the past year all IMEA meetings with Mark Curran and is a qualified and knowledgeable candidate to represent Naperville on the Board of Directors. The Board meets bimonthly in Springfield, Illinois at the headquarters of IMEA. Ms. Podlesny has a good working relationship with the IMEA staff and understanding of power supply issues.
