BACKGROUND:
On April 8, 2017, Naperville Police Officer Tracy Heusinkveld was injured in an on-duty car accident. Heusinkveld is still being treated for her work-related injury and is on currently on light duty.
DISCUSSION:
The City and Heusinkveld have agreed to a $140,000 settlement to resolve her workers’ compensation claim, contingent upon City Council approval.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The City will make a payment of $140,000 as set forth in the Settlement Contract.
