BOARD/COMMISSION REVIEW:
On August 2, 2018, the Transportation Advisory Board recommended approval of the code update to reflect the new traffic signals on Trumpet Avenue and rescind the traffic signal at 248th Avenue and Wolf’s Crossing Road (Approved 6-0); staff concurs.

BACKGROUND:

As part of the approval of the Ashwood Crossing Development in southwest Naperville, various changes to the roadway network were implemented.  See the attached location map.  These changes include:

Re-alignment of Wolf’s Crossing Road to intersection with 95th Street

Extension of Trumpet Avenue to Wolf’s Crossing Road

Installation of two new traffic signals at the intersections of Trumpet Avenue with 248th Avenue and Wolf’s Crossing Road

Removal of the existing traffic signal and intersection of 248th Avenue with Wolf’s Crossing Road

DISCUSSION:

The two new traffic signals on Trumpet Avenue were activated on March 30, 2018.  The traffic signal at the former intersection of 248th Avenue and Wolf’s Crossing Road has also been removed.  The attached ordinance updates the traffic schedule of the Municipal Code with these revisions.
