Action Item 1C - Fair Housing Education and Training Consultant Services RFP

The RFP was issued on May 11, 2018 with responses due on May 24, 2018.  The City received four proposals for fair housing education and training project.  The RFP selection team, consisting of Kasey Evans (staff), Ruth Broder (staff), Mercedes Haber-Kovach (Commissioner) and Linda Kuhn (Commissioner) met on June 20, 2018 to evaluate the proposals and select the vendor to prepare and conduct the requested fair housing training.  Once staff has finalized the scope of work with the selected vendor, the vendor will be announced and preparation of the fair housing training will begin.

Action Item 3A - Prepare an Affordable Housing Plan to determine the degree to which affordable housing demand exceeds current housing supply

CDBG funding was approved at the June 19, 2018 City Council meeting to fund a housing study.  The purpose of the study is to understand the amount, types, and affordability of the City’s existing housing stock, and estimate the City’s future housing needs based on anticipated demographic changes.  This information will aid in identifying housing gaps and strategies to address those gaps.
