BACKGROUND:
The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires that the City develop an Annual Action Plan (AAP) for each program year to determine the allocations of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. HUD also requires that at least one public hearing be held.
DISCUSSION:
A 30-day public comment period is provided in advance of the formal adoption of the Annual Action Plan. The Program Year 2018 AAP was made available to the public for review and comment beginning on January 11, 2018. Comments will be accepted through February 9, 2018 with formal approval by the City Council on February 20. As of January 30, 2018, no comments had been received.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Allocation of $476,617 in CDBG funds.
