BACKGROUND:
In November 2014, Edward Hospital submitted a permit application to allow for the installation of a temporary Mobile MRI Unit on their campus (801 S. Washington Street) for a 24-month period ending in December 2016. Per Section 6-2-11 (Temporary Buildings, Structures, and Uses of Land), temporary trailers installed for this period of time require City Council approval; City Council approved the requested temporary use on January 20, 2015 (Ordinance 15-006).
Representatives from Edward Hospital contacted staff in October 2016 to request an extension to the approved temporary use for an additional year (ending on December 31, 2017); the extension was approved through Ordinance 16-174.
