BOARD/COMMISSION REVIEW:
The SECA Commission presented its unified recommendation for City Council review in October 2017.
BACKGROUND:
In June 2017, the City Council approved $1,018,539 in City Obligations. The remaining balance, $910,461, was then made available to the SECA Commission for award to applicants. In September and October 2017, the SECA Commission held two workshops and one meeting to review and discuss requests for the CY18 funding year. Grant applicants participated in the Public Forum portion of both workshops to present details of their requests. After public deliberation, the SECA Commission arrived at a unified funding recommendation for each request. The recommendation was provided to the City Council for review and input prior to the November 21 workshop.
DISCUSSION:
To best facilitate the discussion, and reach consensus for CY18 allocations, all the SECA Commission recommendation is included in the attached spreadsheet. Also, the individual City Council recommendations and mode, median, and averages are shown for each line item.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Discretionary allocations total $910,461 of the total CY18 SECA Grant Fund Program.
