BACKGROUND:
On September 19, 2017, the City Council adopted a resolution to approve the execution of an agreement between the City of Naperville and the Naperville Fire Protection District (District). The agreement provides that in exchange for the City's installing and maintaining water main improvements in the Green Acres Subdivision of the District, the District will contribute $650,000 towards the City's acquisition of a new fire truck.
The Water Utilities issued Bid 17-190 seeking a vendor to complete improvements to install water main to provide fire protection to the Green Acres subdivision. The project consists of installing 1,425 lineal feet of 12-inch water main from West Street through Sportsman's Park to Green Acres Drive and terminating with a fire hydrant.
