BACKGROUND:

The Subject Property is located on the east side of Washington Street between 7th Avenue and 8th Avenue, and is approximately 0.54 acres.  On July 18, 2017, City Council approved requests by Washington Capital Management LLC to grant a conditional use for retail and multi-family residential in the OCI (Office Commercial and Institutional) district, and to grant parking and setback variances, in order to allow development of a mixed-use building on the subject property.

 

DISCUSSION:

The petitioner, Washington Capital Management, is now seeking approval of the Final Plat of Subdivision for The Washington, which consolidates the property into a single legal lot of record, in order to move forward with development of the proposed mixed-use building.  The proposed Final Subdivision Plat substantially conforms to the Preliminary Plat of Subdivision for The Washington and meets all technical requirements for approval.  An Owner’s Acknowledgement & Acceptance Agreement has been referenced within the ordinance approving the Final Plat of Subdivision.
