BACKGROUND:
In 2015 the City and the Naperville Park District entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement ("IGA") by which the Park District's Administration Building and Fort Hill Activity Center were connected to the City's Fiber System. In 2016 the IGA was amended (First Amendment) to add the Park District's Knoch Park Central Maintenance Facility to the Park District buildings connected through the City's fiber network. The Park District is responsible for installation costs associated with connection of these facilities to the City's fiber network and is also responsible to pay ongoing maintenance charges for those facilities. Earlier this year the IGA was amended again (Second Amendment) to allow installation of fiber cables, referenced as Auxiliary Runs for fibers to serve Centennial Beach and the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center.

DISCUSSION:
The Park District is now requesting a third amendment to the IGA to provide an additional Auxiliary Run to 219 South Mill Street (the "North Maintenance Facility"). While the Park District will pay for installation charges associated with this new Auxiliary Connections, no routine maintenance charge will be required.
The IGA was approved by the Park Board at its meeting on September 14, 2017.
