BACKGROUND:
The Indian Outreach Organization (IOO) will be holding their India Day Celebration on Sunday, August 13, 2017 and is requesting a fireworks display to conclude the event.
DISCUSSION:
At the June 20, 2017 meeting, Council approved the fireworks display be held from 9:00 p.m. - 9:10 p.m. The current request differs from what was approved as the IOO is seeking authority to hold the display from 9:15 p.m. - 9:25 p.m.
In accordance with the Naperville Municipal Code, all fireworks permit applications must be approved by the City Council.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The IOO has received SECA funding for the 2017 India Day Parade and Celebration.
