BACKGROUND:
The City Council awarded Contract 24-293 to Graybar on December 17, 2024. The purpose of this contract is to replace three main electrical switches located at two water supply sites and one wastewater pump station. These switches are obsolete and can no longer be serviced or repaired.
DISCUSSION:
This change order is requested for an additional eight months, which is needed for the manufacture of the customized electrical switch breaker and installation at the wastewater pump station site. The existing switchboard is a NEMA 1 enclosure, and the new circuit breaker must be installed in a new 800-AMP NEMA 3R enclosure, which has a longer delivery timeframe than anticipated during the original inspection.
The new term of the contract is from date of award to August 31, 2026.
