BACKGROUND:
In 2022, the Water Utilities completed a Request for Qualifications (RFQ 22-067) for water main and sanitary sewer projects, and five consultants were shortlisted. The RFQ also stated that the City retains the right to use the services of a successful firm for future phases of a specific project. The short-listed consultants are:
1. Baxter and Woodman
2. Ciorba Group
3. Civil and Environmental Consultants
4. Crawford, Murphy & Tilly
5. Fehr Graham
In January 2026, the Water Utilities issued Work Order 22-067-WATER-26-01 seeking to retain the services of a qualified and experienced consultant to provide construction engineering services for the Kings Terrace Water Main Improvements. Work Order 22-067-WATER-26-01 was issued to consultants on the Water Utilities engineering services shortlist.
The purpose of the project is to replace the aging and deficient water main on the following streets in the Kings Terrace Subdivision: Cheshire Avene, Mary Lane, Elizabeth Lane, George Lane, Catherine Lane, Charles Avenue, Stafford Avenue and Richard Road.
