BACKGROUND:
On March 2, 2015, Frances Reitz filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of Illinois against the City of Naperville and three of its police officers.
DISCUSSION:
The City has reached a settlement with Frances Reitz, subject to City Council approval. The attached resolution approves the settlement and authorizes execution of the settlement agreement on behalf of the City.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The City will make a one-time payment to Frances Reitz and her attorneys of $430,000
