BACKGROUND:
At the January SECA meeting, the Commission asked staff whether the Finance Department had any flexibility in providing the SECA allocation budget earlier in the process. Finance indicated there may be some flexibility, potentially by mid-September; however, this timeline does not allow for significant changes to the overall calendar. As a result, staff is proposing November 7, 2026, as the Saturday public comment meeting with applicants, and adding an additional meeting on November 18, 2026, to allow for more thorough application review and discussion prior to making allocation recommendations at the December meeting.

The Commission is asked to approve the CY 2027 SECA Grant Fund Application Timeline.
