BACKGROUND:
In June of 2025, the City hired Ramsey Historic Consultants, Inc. to conduct an updated survey of the Naperville Historic District. Throughout October and November, Ramsey conducted field work and research in order to complete a survey form for each structure in the district; this form includes information such as the structure’s architectural style, significant features, and changes/alterations that have been made over time. A draft of the survey was shared with the commission and the public during the April 26, 2026 HPC meeting. During this meeting, commissions and members of the public provided feedback and final requests for the consultant. The consultant has now prepared the survey in its final draft form for the review and receipt by the commission.
DISCUSSION:
The consultant will provide a brief presentation, following which the commission will offer any final feedback before directing staff to publish the findings.
