BACKGROUND:
On December 7, 2022, the City Council awarded Bid 22-306 to Allied Door, Inc. to replace the sliding entry doors at the Municipal Center due to age, parts obsolescence, and the frequent need for maintenance and repairs resulting from high volume use and changing weather conditions.
The contract was awarded for $79,823, plus a 5% contingency with a completion date of August 31, 2023.
DISCUSSION:
Due to manufacturing delays, Allied Door, Inc. did not receive the doors until October 2023.
A Change Order is requested to extend the contract by 122 days to allow Allied Door, Inc. to complete the work. If approved, the revised completion date will be December 31, 2023.
No additional funds are needed to complete the work.

The work is related to MB222, Municipal Center Improvements. The additional time requested on the contract will not add additional expense to the award amount.
