BACKGROUND:
The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires the City to submit a Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) at the end of each CDBG program year to report how funds were used. Prior to submission, the City is required to conduct a public hearing.
DISCUSSION:
The CDBG Program Year 2024 took place from April 1, 2024 - March 31, 2025. The City is required to submit the 2024 CAPER no later than 90 days after the end of the program year. A 15-day public comment period and public hearing are required in advance of formal submission of the CAPER to HUD. The CAPER was made available to the public for review and comment beginning May 16, 2025. Comments will be accepted through June 3, 2025 with a public hearing to be held at the June 3, 2025 City Council meeting.
