DuPage Hispanic Alliance is requesting $5,000 of SECA public art CY24 set-aside funding for window murals painted by artist, Giovanni Arellano, at the former Barnes & Noble location (47 E. Chicago Avenue).

The SECA Commission reserved a total of $23,500 for public art requests that arise throughout CY24. On 04/17/24, the SECA Commission approved $10,000 of these funds to be used for the “Olmec Trails: Culture and Legacy” project. The project acquired partial funding from other grant sources requiring only $6,500 of the approved funding for the project.

This leaves $17,000 in the public art set-aside funds available for allocation.
