BACKGROUND:

Marquette Companies will host the second Water Street Art Fair event on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Admission to this event is free. This event will celebrate regional artists.

 

DISCUSSION:

All businesses on Water Street will be informed about this event and will not alter normal Sunday hours.

 

The general public will be able to gain access to the Riverwalk, as well as individual businesses, from the Riverwalk side of Water Street.

 

Specific temporary traffic control information for the Water Street Art Fair event is depicted on the attached map and ordinance.  The event streets will be closed beginning at 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2024, and will open to vehicular traffic with the removal of the No Parking/Tow Zone signs at approximately 7:30 p.m., or as soon as the Naperville Police Department determines it appropriate based on public safety.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

The event organizers will be billed for all City services required to support this event.
