BACKGROUND:
Sponsored by the Naperville Noon Lions Club, the annual Turkey Trot 5K Run will be held on Thursday, November 27, 2025. The event will start and finish at Naperville Central High School.
DISCUSSION:
The race route is depicted on the attached map. The race route only will be No Parking/Tow Zone from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. and will be posted accordingly. The route streets will be closed from approximately 7:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and will be open to vehicular traffic as soon as the Naperville Police Department determines it appropriate based on public safety.
Staff will post informational signs along the race route beginning Thursday, November 20, 2025, and the organizer will distribute written notifications to all residents and businesses along the route at least two weeks prior to the event.
The Naperville Noon Lions have met all City requirements for an Amplifier permit to make appropriate announcements beginning at 6:45 a.m.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Naperville Noon Lions Club has received $13,000 in SECA Grant funds for City services required for this event. Any City services costs in excess of the grant fund will be billed to the event organizer.
