Downtown Naperville Alliance (DNA) is requesting $3,000 of public art CY25 set-aside funding for a Washington Street Bridge Ribbon Cutting and Celebration Event in July. DNA Executive Director, Katie Wood, submitted the following description:

For the $3,000 SECA Grant ...

The Downtown Naperville Alliance (DNA) intends to use the funds for a post construction Washington Street Bridge Ribbon Cutting and Celebration Event in July, (exact date pending construction completion, but tentatively Friday, July 11, 11am - 2pm). Besides a ribbon cutting with key City representatives, our plans would include live music (possibly marching band or DJ), events for kids & families (e.g. an ice cream social, games, prizes, and other merriment).

The SECA Commission reserved a total of $10,883 for public art requests that arise throughout CY25. If DNA’s request is approved, it will leave $7,883 in the public art set-aside funds available for allocation.
