BACKGROUND:
On September 17, 2024, City Council awarded Bid 24-143 to Rag’s Electric to replace the LED lighting fixtures in the Van Buren Parking Facility, including the expansion areas, and replace all emergency/area rescue call boxes. The contract was awarded for $471,500, plus a 5% contingency with a completion date of December 15, 2024.
DISCUSSION:
During installation, Rag’s Electric Inc. alerted staff they received a delay in shipment notification for equipment necessary to complete the project. This change order is requested to extend the contract completion date by 75 days to allow Rag’s Electric Inc. to complete the contracted work. If approved, the revised completion date will be February 28, 2025. No additional funds are needed to complete the outstanding work.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no direct fiscal impact associated with this Change Order. This Change Order extends the contract by 75 days but does not increase the value of the award.
