BACKGROUND:
In February 2024, City Council awarded RFQ Work Order 21-012.0.E.00-TED, Construction Engineering - Columbia Street Roadway Widening, to Baxter & Woodman, Inc. with a contract completion date of July 30, 2025.
DISCUSSION:
The majority of the construction on this project was completed on time. However, final completion of the project was delayed due to lead times on streetlights and weather-dependent punchlist repairs. In addition, several rounds of inspections and reviews had to be completed for the streetlights and the as-built plans, resulting in a continued need for construction engineering services. These items received final approval in January 2026.
Staff is requesting an extension to March 31, 2026 to allow for all final project closeout paperwork to be processed.

There is no direct fiscal impact associated with this change order.
