BACKGROUND:
The City Manager awarded Contract 24-044 to Tyler Technologies (Tyler) in January 2024 for a one-year term from January 1, 2024 to December 1, 2024.
The purpose of this contract is to provide clients with a higher level of support than the standard technical support included with Tyler’s annual software license. The program includes 150 consulting hours to help the City implement new permits and licenses and provide general and advanced training for staff in the use of the Tyler Enterprise Permitting & Licensing (EPL) software. EPL Assist program is similar to the Tyler Pace program the City also uses for its Tyler EERP software.
DISCUSSION:
To date, the contract has been used to help staff with several issues, including but not limited to training on how to create custom reports, fixing broken automation to change the permit status automatically, creating custom forms for the special events application and explaining the credit card refund process in EPL.
This Change Order is requested to extend the contract term by five months to expire on May 31, 2025. The cost of the additional five months is $12,000.
FISCAL IMPACT:

Tyer EPL Assist Program is expensed to the Other Professional Services account listed below. There is $52,000 included in the 2024 budget for the Tyler EPL Assist Program. The requested change is within the amount budgeted for this expense.
