BACKGROUND:
The Naperville Park District staff would like to place temporary yard signs near the entrances to the Riverwalk to remind visitors to “Walk Your Wheels” as the Riverwalk only allows walkers, runners, strollers and wheelchairs. Bikes, skateboards, scooters and other wheeled transportation vehicles are prohibited on the Riverwalk. The Naperville Park District also issued a “Share the Trails” press release on April 28, 2025 regarding all Naperville Parks and includes mention of items prohibited on the Riverwalk.
DISCUSSION:
The Naperville Park District staff plans to place approximately twenty temporary “Walk Your Wheels” yard signs near the entrances of the Riverwalk. A sample of the sign is attached, along with a copy of the “Share the Trails” press release.
