BACKGROUND:
On March 19, 2025, the City Council awarded Work Order 22-067-WATER-25-04, Design Engineering Services for Saybrook Phase III Water Main Improvements, to Fehr Graham for an amount of $132,000 and completion date of April 30, 2026.
The scope of work was for Fehr Graham to manage the preparation of construction documents, technical specifications, and permitting for the replacement of water main in the Saybrook subdivision.
DISCUSSION:
This Change Order is requested to perform a topographic survey and engineering design work on a portion of Brainard Street that was omitted from the original work order.
This task will not require a contract extension.
Staff recommends approval of this Change Order to ensure that the engineering design can be completed as required.
FISCAL IMPACT:
CIP#: WU410 - Saybrook Phase III Watermain Improvements
The requested Change Order will be charged to the Architect and Engineer Service account below. The requested award totals $20,000. The 2025 Budget includes $302,784.00 for the completion of this project, which can accommodate expenditures for the remainder of 2025. The remainder of the contract will be budgeted appropriately for 2026.
