BACKGROUND:

On June 17, 2009, DPU-E employee Ed Lawler injured his right knee while locating an underground electric wire. Lawler and the City have agreed to $92,101.61, contingent upon City Council approval, as a full and final settlement for his knee injuries and his pending workers’ compensation claim.

DISCUSSION:

This resolution of Lawler’s workers’ compensation claim was discussed in detail in Closed Session on June 20, 2017.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The City will make payment of $92,101.61 as set forth in the Settlement Contract.
