BACKGROUND:
Construction is currently underway for the Prairie Nature Garden located near the sand volleyball and ice-skating facilities on the Naperville Riverwalk immediately west of Centennial Beach. The Naperville Park District and City of Naperville are cooperatively working to complete the improvements. The Naperville Riverwalk Foundation is paying for the costs of the improvements up to $45,000.
DISCUSSION:
The project includes the installation of an interpretive sign near the prairie nature garden to demonstrate the benefits of the native plantings. Attached is a draft of the proposed sign to be installed. Please review the sign, provide any comments and then consider a motion to approve the sign.
