BACKGROUND:

On February 2, 2022, City Council awarded Cooperative Procurement 22-061 to Weatherproofing Technologies Inc./Tremco to complete the third and final phase of the Police Department roof project. In this phase, the five remaining roof sections located in the center of the building will be restored. In addition, 1,500 square feet of wet insulation found during the infrared scan will be removed and replaced.

 

The contract was awarded for $215,645.36, plus a 5% contingency with a completion date of January 31, 2022.

 

DISCUSSION:

Due to unforeseen material delays and contractor scheduling, Weatherproofing Technologies Inc./Tremco was unable to start work on this project until August 22, 2022.

 

A change order is requested to extend the contract completion date by 122 days to allow Weatherproofing Technologies Inc./Tremco to complete the contracted work. If approved, the revised completion date will be November 30, 2022. No additional funds are needed to complete the outstanding work.

The additional time requested on the contract will not add additional expenses to the award amount.
